In light of their recent injury woes, the Flyers have recalled center Ben Holmstrom from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.

Holmstrom, who turns 24 on Saturday, made his NHL debut March 3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs and recorded a game-high five hits and was 3-for-10 on faceoffs in 8:06 of ice time. With the Phantoms, he has 16 goals and 21 assists.

Both Danny Briere, who missed Sundays game against the New York Rangers, and Blair Betts, who left in the second period Sunday, will miss Tuesdays game in Ottawa against the Senators. Briere has lower-body soreness, according to general manager Paul Holmgren, and Betts' injury is to his lower body, as well.

Holmstrom will wear No. 34.
