Phillies (9-3) vs. Marlins (7-5), 7 p.m. on CSN

Starting pitchers
Phillies: Roy Oswalt (2-0, 2.25) - It has been smooth sailing for Oswalt, who has allowed two runs in six innings in each of his first two starts. Last week vs. Atlanta, only one of the runs was earned, as Oswalt limited the Braves' offense in a 10-2 victory.

Marlins: Javier Vazquez (1-1, 8.64) - The veteran right-hander has not been particularly sharp this season. Opponents are hitting .389 against him, while he has more walks (7) than strikeouts (5) through his first two starts.
Previous games
The Phillies took two of three vs. the Nationals this week, capped by a 4-0 victory on Thursday night. Cliff Lee pitched the team's second straight complete game, while Carlos Ruiz supported him with a solo homer.

The Marlins followed a similar recipe against the Braves - winning the last two games after losing the opener. In Thursday's 6-5 win, Florida received multi-hit efforts from Chris Coghlan, Hanley Ramirez and Gaby Sanchez.

Head-to-head
The Phillies went 13-5 against the Marlins last season. It was their most wins against any opponent. The teams have not met yet this season.

Whos hot?
Ruiz is working on a seven-game hitting streak, raising his average to .351. Since going hitless in the season opener, Placido Polanco has recorded at least one hit in 10 of the Phils' 11 games. Wilson Valdez has scored at least one run in four straight games.

Storylines
Can the Phillies possibly get a third straight complete game? Oswalt is 7-0 with a 2.05 ERA in 10 home starts - including three in the postseason - since being acquired by the Phils. He will have to control Ramirez, who is 11-for-28 (.393) against him for his career.
