PITTSBURGHJimmy Rollins will not be in the starting lineup when the Phillies play the Pittsburgh Pirates in the finale of a three-game series Sunday at PNC Park.

Rollins fouled a ball off his right knee in the first inning of Saturday nights game. He limped for a couple of innings before leaving the game.

By the bottom of the second inning, I was like, Please dont hit me the ball,Rollins said after the Phils 6-3 loss.

Rollins said he believed the injury would not require time on the disabled list. He believes he can be back in a few days, once the swelling goes down. He did not have an X-ray.

I dont think its a DL thing, he said. If its still swollen in four days and theres no improvement we might have to take a closer look into it, but I definitely wouldnt put it that far at this point. I can still walk on it.

The Phillies shortstop was still limping in the clubhouse after the game. He was wearing a compression sleeve to help contain the swelling.

Rollins doubled off Pittsburgh starter Charlie Morton moments after fouling the ball off his leg.

I got myself pretty good, Rollins said.

He might have wounded himself even more hadnt he been wearing a knee pad under his uniform. Rollins always wears a knee pad to protect himself when he slides.
