Quin Snyder, the Sixers' head of player development, appears ready to join the Lakers. Snyder last week interviewed with new Lakers coach Mike Brown, and one NBA executive with knowledge of the situation believes Snyder will join the Lakers' staff.

Snyder denied a report claiming he interviewed with Timberwolves general manager David Kahn for Minnesotas head coaching position. The catch is that Kurt Rambis still holds the jobalthough Rambis firing is thought to be imminent.

Despite Snyders strong connection to Doug Collins, who gave the Duke alum his first NBA position a year ago, going to Los Angeles would allow Snyder to be on Browns bench. With the Sixers, he is fourth on the assistant coaching totem poleand therefore sits behind the bench.
