Sources: Eagles agitated with Watkins' agent

League sources have told CSNs Derrick Gunn that the Eagles are agitated with Eric Metz, the agent for their unsigned first-round pick Danny Watkins.

The Eagles have offered Watkins a four-year deal, and it's in line with other players drafted near him (he was 23rd overall).

Negotiations between the two sides have bogged down, and while its possible that a deal is done Friday, its not likely. Watkins is the only one of the Eagles 11 picks who has yet to sign.

"I think we're going to handle that internally," general manager Howie Roseman said. "We're eager to get him here and get him into game and back on the field."

Metz and Joe Panos also represented quarterback JaMarcus Russell, who held out of Raiders training camp as a rookie and never lived up to expectations. Panos, however, pointed out that only four of their 28 first-round picks have held out.
