Jeremy Maclin's mystery illness apparently is close to being revealed.

Maclins older brother Andre says that the Eagles wide receiver is fine and an announcement regarding Jeremy's condition is coming Tuesday.

They kind of have us on a gag order until tomorrow, Andre Maclin told the Sporting News. But hes fine. Hes fine. That much I can say.

The Eagles have declined comment.

"We're aware of the report," a team spokesman said. "We have no comment."

Jeremy Maclin has yet to practice in training camp because of an undisclosed illness. There has been rampant speculation regarding the gravity of Maclins condition, but Andre insists it will be cleared up on Tuesday.

When I say definitely, we definitely will have some news tomorrow, Andre said.

Thats when we find out exactly whats going on and when the Maclin camp will address it and talk.

Maclin, who had mononucleosis in the spring, has been undergoing tests since the beginning of camp. The Eagles recently signed former Giants receiver Steve Smith but have insisted that it's unrelated to Maclin's status.

Head coach Andy Reid has said that he expects Maclin to be ready for the season opener at St. Louis on Sept. 11.

Entering his third season in the NFL, Maclin last season led the Eagles in touchdown receptions (10) and was second in overall receptions (70) and receiving yards (964).
