Cole Hamels threw 44 pitches and recorded 10 outs against 12 hitters in a minor-league outing on Tuesday in Clearwater, Fla.

Pitching for Single A Lakewood against Single A Clearwater in a game between Phils' minor leaguers, Hamels struck out three, walked two and gave up a pair of hits and a run. He threw 44 pitches, 29 for strikes.

In a simulated game-type of format, Hamels got three outs in his first inning, two outs in his second frame and five outs in his third inning.

Hamels could appear in three or four more games before rejoining the Phillies at the end of April.
