The rankings below are based on standard 5x5 scoring leagues that count Batting average, runs, home runs, RBIs and stolen bases for offensive players, and wins, ERA, WHIP, strikeouts and saves for pitchers.
Most leagues treat all outfielders as one position, but we've broken them down by LF, CF and RF in case your league specifies.

• If Cole Hamels misses only April, he'll be a mid-round steal.
• Expecting plenty of regression from Michael Cuddyer, who hit 47 points higher last year than ever before. Don't draft him expecting another .331 batting average -- something closer to .280 is more realistic.
MLB
• High on Marlon Byrd, who's been crushing the ball all spring and has genuinely reinvent his swing since falling out of the majors in 2012. He's coming off a tremendous season and will have a lot of RBI opportunities, especially if Ryan Howard struggles right ahead of him.
• Martin Prado is hitting .475 this spring and really came on during the second half of 2013. When you consider his eligibility at three positions, he's a valuable fantasy asset.

• CC Sabathia might be finished. He's barely touching 90 mph this spring.
• Xander Bogaerts hasn't hit a lick this spring, but if he bats sixth for the Red Sox he'll be in a very good situation to produce. With his immense talent and eligibility at two pretty thin positions, he's a perfect bench player to stash. If he breaks out, you'll be able to trade your starting 3B or SS.

• Dexter Fowler has hit .282/.379/.442 the last two seasons with averages of 18 doubles, seven triples, 12 homers and 16 steals. But those numbers are bound to slip. He's now a part of a weak Astros lineup, and for his career has hit .241 with a .694 OPS away from Coors Field.
• Josh Johnson couldn't have picked a better stadium to attempt a comeback. Folks are more down on him than they should be. He's coming off a horrid 6.20 ERA, but that was the only bad season he's had since 2007. From 2008-12 he was injured plenty, but had a 3.06 ERA in 115 starts.
• Has there ever been a softer ace than Yovani Gallardo? Lots of strikeouts and flashes of brilliance, but he has a 3.79 ERA and 1.31 WHIP since 2010. For reference, that's a worse ERA than Trevor Cahill and Chad Billingsley.
