Cole Hamels’ “spring training” is almost over.

Hamels pitched six innings of one-run ball for the Clearwater Threshers on Saturday night in Lakeland, Fla. He is scheduled to pitch again on Thursday, and that could be his final minor-league rehab start. On that schedule, Hamels would line up to make his Phillies’ season debut April 22 at Dodger Stadium.

This schedule, of course, is contingent on Hamels continuing a healthy progression. The left-hander was behind schedule in February and March after an offseason bout of shoulder tendinitis. He has described his recent work as his personal spring training.

Hamels allowed five hits, walked none and struck out six for Clearwater on Saturday night.

In other rehab news, Mike Adams pitched an inning for Lehigh Valley on Saturday night. He could be activated as soon as Monday. Adams had shoulder surgery in July.
