BOX SCORE

BALTIMORE – The Phillies’ losing streak grew to seven straight games in a 4-0 loss to the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards on Monday night.

It was the third time in the last four games that the Phillies have been shut out.

A loss Tuesday night will give the Phillies a winless eight-game road trip.

The Phillies are 5-20 since their six-game winning streak last month. They are an abysmal 7-27 on the road. Their overall record of 22-43 is the worst in baseball.

The Orioles have won nine of their last 11 and are 32-31 in the American League East.

Starting pitching report
Aaron Harang’s difficult month of June continued. The right-hander gave up four runs, including three with two outs in the sixth inning. Those three came on a homer by Matt Wieters. Harang extended the inning with a two-out walk. Harang has allowed 17 runs in three starts this month. He allowed just 11 in six starts in May.

Lefty Wei-Yin Chen (3-4) was brilliant for Baltimore. He went eight innings and allowed just four hits and a walk. He struck out nine.

Bullpen report
Zach Britton closed it out for Baltimore.

At the plate
The Phillies have been out-homered, 9-0, in seven games on the trip.

The Phillies had just two hits through the first seven innings. Both were by Cesar Hernandez. One was a bunt single; the other was a double.

Wieters’ homer was his second in eight games since coming off the disabled list.

In the field
Leftfielder Cody Asche misplayed Travis Snider’s liner to the wall into a two-out double in the fifth. Snider then scored the Orioles’ first run on a single by J.J. Hardy.

A dubious first
Maikel Franco earned his first career ejection for vehemently arguing a called third strike against him with home plate umpire Eric Cooper in the top of seventh inning. Franco was also called out looking in the first inning.

Franco batted third in the Phillies’ lineup. Chase Utley served as the designated hitter and batted sixth.

Rehab report
Pitcher Chad Billingsley, recovering from a strained lat muscle, is scheduled to throw 60 pitches in a minor-league rehab start for Triple A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday night. Billingsley is scheduled to pitch again on Sunday and get to 90 pitches.

Up next
The series continues on Tuesday night. Jerome Williams (3-6, 5.71) opposes Baltimore right-hander Chris Tillman (4-7, 5.68).
