BOX SCORE

Aaron Harang spun a two-hitter through eight innings Friday night at Citizens Bank Park against the Atlanta Braves, but it was only good enough for a no-decision.

Instead, the Phillies needed to cash in on errors by the top fielding team in baseball to eek out a 1-0 victory.

Ben Revere got the game-winning RBI when first baseman Freddie Freeman booted a slow grounder that allowed Freddy Galvis to score. Though it brought in the winning run, the Phillies went just 1 for 13 with runners in scoring position.

Starting pitching report
Harang was on the mark out of the gate. He retired the first 13 he faced and didn’t surrender a hit until there was one out in the fifth inning. After allowing two one-out singles in the fifth, Harang retired the last 11 he faced.

In four starts this season, Harang has a 1.37 ERA with 21 strikeouts and six walks in 26 1/3 innings.

Braves starter Alex Wood left the game with the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth inning. The lefty did not allow a run in 5 2/3. The Phillies got five hits and two walks off Wood.

Bullpen report
Ken Giles picked up the win with a scoreless ninth. He walked one.

At the plate
The Phillies had plenty of chances to score, putting runners in scoring position in the first, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth innings. In the eighth the Phillies had runners on the corners with one out but could not push one across when Cody Asche’s safety squeeze attempt resulted in a pop up.

The offensive hero was Galvis, who went 3 for 4 and started the game-winning rally in the ninth with a line-drive single.

In the field
The Braves entered the game with a major league-low four errors this season, but were charged with four errors and a passed ball Friday night.

Galvis was in the middle of three inning-ending double plays. Two of those double plays were started by Chase Utley.

Up next
The Phillies and Braves continue the series Saturday night when David Buchanan (0-3, 9.22) takes on righty Shelby Miller (2-0, 1.69). Buchanan has faced the Braves twice in his career, posting an 0-1 record with 4.00 ERA. In nine innings against the Braves, Buchanan has six strikeouts and nine walks.

Miller also has faced the Phillies just twice, going 0-1 with a 4.97 ERA in 12 2/3 innings.
