Phillies (94-49) vs. Astros (49-97), 8:05 p.m. on CSN

Starting Pitchers
Phillies: Roy Oswalt (7-8, 3.72) is 77-34 lifetime in Houston, where he pitched for the Astros for most of the last decade. No other pitcher has more than 42 wins at Minute Maid Park. Oswalt allowed two runs in seven innings last Wednesday in a 3-2 win against Atlanta.

Astros: Brett Myers (4-13, 4.66) spent his first eight major league seasons with the Phillies, winning 73 games and helping the team win the 2008 World Series. Myers has made two career starts against the Phils, posting a 1.93 ERA.

Previous games
The Phillies are coming off a series victory against the Brewers, having won three of the four games in Milwaukee. They dropped Sunday's series finale, 3-2, as Vance Worley allowed a pair of runs in the seventh inning to suffer his first loss since May 29.

The Astros have lost seven of their last nine games, including Sunday's 8-2 defeat to the Nationals. Rookie pitcher Henry Sosa didn't make it out of the third inning in that contest.

Head-to-head
The Phillies swept the Astros in the first series of the season, including a wild comeback on opening day. The Phillies hit .349 while scoring 21 runs in the three games.

Who's hot?
Ryan Howard homered on Sunday for the third time in his last six games. Hunter Pence has hit safely in five of his last six games. For Houston, Matt Downs has six hits - including a double and a homer - in his last 16 at-bats.

Storylines
If the Phillies sweep this series, the Astros will get to 100 losses before the Phillies get to 50. The game marks a reunion for both Oswalt and Pence. The Phillies can clinch a playoff spot with a win against Houston and a loss by St. Louis.
