We love big-league debuts. Better yet, we really love comparing the debuts of Phillies draft picks that make starting pitchers over the recent past. 

So with David Buchanan getting his first look-see as a big leaguer Saturday afternoon against the Dodgers -- a 5-3 win -- what better excuse to dig up the digits from some of the more notable opening nights for some Phillies starting pitchers?

How Buchanan stacks up against a few other Phillies’ draft picks in their debuts appears below, but it's worth noting that Buchanan is the first to win his debut since Gavin Floyd nearly 10 years ago.
