The Phillies have activated outfielder Domonic Brown from the seven-day concussion disabled list.

To make room for Brown on the roster, fellow outfielder Laynce Nix was designated for assignment.

A concussion has kept Brown out of the lineup since July 24. He went 3 for 5 with a homer in his first rehab game with Single A Lakewood on Monday night.

"Felt pretty good, no symptoms," Brown said after the game, via the Blueclaws' podcast. "Felt pretty good in the box, really just trying to see some good pitches up. I had some pretty good swings."

The Phillies have gone 1-10 since Brown last played. The All-Star left fielder leads the team in homers (24), RBIs (69), runs (51) and slugging percentage (.531).

Nix appeared in 81 games for the Phils this season. He struggled at the plate, posting a line of .180/.228/.258 with two homers and seven RBIs.
