Phillies minor-league pitcher Christopher O'Hare has been suspended 50 games without pay for a second positive test for a drug of abuse, the office of the commissioner announced Wednesday.

O'Hare, a 23-year-old lefty, was the Phils' 23rd-round pick in the 2013 draft out of Fisher College in Boston. He pitched five innings in 2013 for the Gulf Coast League Phillies, Clearwater Threshers and Lakewood BlueClaws.

The suspension begins with the 2014 season, which O'Hare was set to start with Class A Lakewood.
