CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Phillies optioned five players to the minor leagues on Tuesday morning.

They are pitchers Tyler Cloyd, B.J. Rosenberg and Mauricio Robles, outfielder Tyson Gillies and catcher Sebastian Valle.

The Phils now have 42 players in camp, including 20 pitchers, four catchers, 10 infielders and eight outfielders.

The Phillies play the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday afternoon, weather permitting. It has rained most of the morning and the field is wet. The wet conditions have led to Chase Utley's being moved from second base to DH. Utley is fine. Phillies officials don't want to risk anything going wrong with his knees while playing defense on a wet field. Kevin Frandsen has been moved from DH to second base.
