After a 13-inning affair in the opener, the Phillies will look to rebound from a 1-0 shutout loss when they continue their series with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday.
Regulars Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Carlos Ruiz are all back in the starting lineup. Andres Blanco, Darin Ruf and Cameron Rupp will head back to the bench.
Sean O'Sullivan gets the start for the Phils, who own the worst record in baseball and have lost 14 of their last 17 games. The right-hander is 0-2 with a 6.17 ERA in his last four starts.
Pitching has been the Phils' biggest crutch on the road as of late. The staff has compiled a 5.50 ERA during their current eight-game slide away from Citizens Bank Park.
Gerrit Cole will toe the rubber for Pittsburgh. The Pirates' right-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in 14 consecutive innings and has won four consecutive starts.
