Today's lineup: Maikel Franco, Chase Utley sit

As expected, rookie third baseman Maikel Franco is out of the Phillies' lineup a day after a hit by pitch on the left wrist caused his early exit.

X-rays on Franco's wrist came back negative, but the Phils are being cautious with their budding star. They're off on Thursday, so this should give him two full days of rest before the weekend series in Milwaukee.

Andres Blanco plays third in place of Franco and bats second for the 3:40 p.m. series finale (see game notes).

Chase Utley is also out of the starting lineup for the second time in six games since his return from the DL last Friday. Cesar Hernandez leads off and plays second base.

Odubel Herrera bats third for the second time in three nights. He's hit .368 over his last 33 games.

Cameron Rupp does the catching for Aaron Nola, who makes his fifth major-league start.
