After originally being slated to hit leadoff, Michael Young has been scratched from Thursday's lineup. According to manager Charlie Manuel, Young has a tight hamstring.

CSNPhilly.com's Jim Salisbury confirmed Thursday morning that Young has cleared waivers and can be traded to any MLB club if he approves (see story).

Before Thursday's game, Young said he was unaware if there was a trade in the works and if today's game was a scheduled night game, he would be able to play.

So it's a much different lineup for the Phillies heading into their matinee against the Cubs.

Kevin Frandsen starts at first base and will leadoff. With Jimmy Rollins receiving his first day off of the second half, Michael Martinez gets the start at shortstop and will bat eighth. As a result, Carlos Ruiz moves up to the two-hole.

Cody Asche starts at third and will hit sixth. Darin Ruf is back in right field.

With a victory today, the Phillies would win their first series since the All-Star break after dropping their first five straight.

Here's the full Phillies lineup:

1. Kevin Frandsen, 1B
2. Carlos Ruiz, C
3. Chase Utley, 2B
4. Domonic Brown, LF
5. Darin Ruf, RF
6. Cody Asche, 3B
7. John Mayberry Jr., CF
8. Michael Martinez, SS
9. Ethan Martin, P
