Tonight's lineup: Ben Revere and Ryan Howard back in

Share

The red-hot Ben Revere finds himself back at the top of the Phillies' lineup on Thursday.

Revere, who is batting .500 with three RBIs the last week and .400 overall in July, steps back in after getting the night off on Wednesday. In the current series against the Dodgers, the centerfielder is batting .375 (3-for-8) with two RBIs, two walks and one stolen base.

Ryan Howard also returns to the lineup, but unlike Revere, the first basemen is struggling mightily as of late.

In July, Howard is batting .125 with a .154 OBP and six strikeouts. Dating back to the beginning of June, he's hitting only .175 with four homers, 16 RBIs and 35 strikeouts in 114 ABs.

Things won't get much easier for the Big Piece, either, as the Phillies will match up against arguably the best pitcher in baseball.

Zack Greinke takes the mound for Los Angeles, sporting a 7-2 record and 1.48 ERA (leads the majors), while opponents are hitting a paltry .199 against the right-hander this season.
