The Phillies open a seven-game road trip in San Francisco tonight (see game notes).

Cliff Lee takes the hill and opposes Giants lefty Madison Bumgarner, and with that, Ben Revere will sit and the right-handed John Mayberry gets the start in center field. Ironically, Revere is 2 for 2 lifetime against Bumgarner with a double and a couple of RBIs.

Mayberry will bat seventh. He has Bumgarner in his book for his only hit against the southpaw -- he's 1 for 6 lifetime vs. Bumgarner.

Chase Utley is back in the two-hole, Michael Young will hit third with Ryan Howard in his usual cleanup spot. Carlos Ruiz has the night off as Erik Kratz catches Lee tonight.

Bumgarner has been the Giants' best pitcher thus far. He's 3-0 and is tied for the third-best  ERA (1.55) among starters in baseball.
