The Phillies will be without Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Odubel Herrera on Friday night, as they look to bounce back after being swept by the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday (see 5 things you need to know).
Andres Blanco, batting second, gets the start for Utley, who is in the midst of his second 0 for 21 slump this season. Darin Ruf, batting fourth, takes over at first. Meanwhile, Cesar Hernandez remains at shortstop for the Phils.
The Phils hand the ball over to veteran journeyman Kevin Correia, making his first start for the team. Correia will be pitching square off against Pirates lefty Jeff Locke.
