Well, there's still a game to play.

Following Ryne Sandberg's unexpected resignation as Phillies manager on Friday (see story), the club begins a three-game series against the Nationals at Citizens Bank Park.

Interim manager Pete Mackanin's first lineup has Odubel Herrera playing center field and leading off, with the red-hot Ben Revere sitting.

Since June 3, Revere is third in MLB in hitting with a .384 average.

In 214 at-bats this season, Herrera, 23, is hitting .248 with two homers, 17 RBIs, eight stolen bases and 21 runs scored.

It'll be Herrera's 13th game leading off this season. He's hitting .260 with a .288 on-base percentage batting first.
