John Lannan won't be the only new face in uniform for the Phillies as they resume their series against the Royals on Saturday night.

Newcomer Humberto Quintero will be in action behind the plate, giving Erik Kratz a rest after starting the season's first four games. The move will likely make Kratz available to catch Sunday afternoon, when Cole Hamels will be on the hill.

The top six men in Charlie Manuel's order will remain the same as Friday, but John Mayberry Jr. will take the place of Laynce Nix, who started the previous two contests. Mayberry will play right field and bat seventh.

Quintero spent 2012 with the Royals. In his only season in Kansas City, the catcher batted .232 with a homer and 19 RBIs in 43 games.

The only Phillie with significant experience against Royals right-hander Luis Mendoza is Ben Revere, who is 4 for 13 against him in his career (see game notes).

Billy Butler, who was intentionally walked as a pinch-hitter Friday and normally the Royals' DH, will bat third and play first base.
