Tonight's lineup: Red-hot Cody Asche sits again

Well here's a new one. Odubel Herrera bats fifth for the Phillies tonight against Braves right-hander Shelby Miller.

It is Herrera's first time starting in the five-hole in the majors. He's in center field, flanked by Ben Revere in left and Domonic Brown in right.

Interesting that Cody Asche, 8 for 22 with four doubles, a triple and six RBIs in his last five games, is out of the lineup for a second straight game.

The rationale could be that Revere and Brown are worth showcasing one more time before Friday's 4 p.m. trade deadline.

Carlos Ruiz is behind the plate to catch returning Aaron Harang. The right-hander missed four full weeks with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
