Of the three Phillies who have led off the most this season, Jimmy Rollins has been the least productive, hitting .266 with a .310 on-base percentage.

Michael Young has been the most productive, batting .323 in 14 games, and Charlie Manuel has put him back into that role. Rollins drops to third in the order, and Chase Utley bats cleanup for the first time since May 20.

With Domonic Brown out until at least next Wednesday, Darin Ruf gets his first start of the season in left field at Comerica Park. Delmon Young will serve as the designated hitter in the AL park, with Laynce Nix in right field and Kevin Frandsen assuming Ruf’s regular duties at first base.

Miguel Cabrera is out for the Tigers for the fourth straight game. The slugger who leads the AL in hits, runs, walks, batting average, OBP and OPS had played 161 games in each of the last two seasons, but hasn't played at all this week because of a sore hip flexor.

Here’s a look at the lineup behind Cole Hamels:

1) Michael Young, 3B
2) Kevin Frandsen, 1B
3) Jimmy Rollins, SS
4) Chase Utley, 2B
5) Delmon Young, DH
6) Darin Ruf, LF
7) John Mayberry, CF
8) Laynce Nix, RF
9) Carlos Ruiz, C

Quintero clears waivers

Catcher Humberto Quintero cleared waivers for the second time this season, but rather than accepting an assignment to Triple A Lehigh Valley, he elected free agency.

Quintero, an 11-year veteran, hit .250/.294/.406 in 24 games with the Phillies this season.
