Phillies

The offensive futility finally came back to bite the Phillies in a 1-3 trip to the Gateway City capped off by a 4-0 loss to the Cardinals on Thursday.
As the Phillies' starting pitching trio impresses at the MLB level, Jake Thompson, Zach Eflin (2.05 ERA) and Mark Appel (1.64) are doing the same at AAA.
The Phillies were shut out for the first time this season, leaving Busch Stadium with a 4-0 loss and three defeats in four games to the Cardinals.
