Carli Lloyd, Busy Becoming Olympic Hero, Makes a Minor Shane Victorino Tweet Faux Pas

South Jersey native Carli Lloyd was the king of the world on Thursday night in London after scoring both of the United States goals in their 2-1 win over Japan in the gold medal match. Following her remarkable showing we wrote about the New Jersey native living just over the river from Philadelphia in Delran. I had suspected she might be a Phillies fan but couldn't find any hard proof.

Turns out, her quest to become a gold medal winner in 2012 may have kept her a bit too busy from reading The700Level.com or keeping up with all of the MLB trades that went down over the past week and a half or so.

Former Phillies center fielder and WFC Shane Victorino tweeted his congrats to @CarliLloyd for such an amazing performance on Thursday night. Lloyd responded to Shane's tweet in the wee hours of Friday morning (EST), presumably when she was waking up in London. She said she was a big fan of Victorino's in her response -- one champion respecting another. Only there was one minor faux pas: she ended her tweet by saying, "go Phils!"

The Phillies traded Victorino to the Los Angeles Dodgers 10 days ago.

I'm sure Shane will forgive her though. She was a little busy kicking ass.
