Galvis and the Phils Flash the Leather in Rubber Match Victory

Joe Blanton was in top form on Thursday night when he helped the Phillies to victory over the Marlins to move the team to 3-3 on the season. Heavy B received plenty of help of his own from his teammates behind him on the field as the Phils' defense was stellar all night long. Freddy Galvis in particular made a couple of web gem grabs and also turned the game-ending double play. Ty Wigginton made a couple of nice snatches at first and Hunter Pence and Shane Victorino tracked down a couple of tough balls in the outfield as well. A great team effort in the field all around.

But Freddy is the most fun to watch in the field this season. His diving grab off the bat of Mark Buehrle was one of the best stops we've seen all season from the Fightins.

Also, if you can't tell, Freddy is my new favorite Phillie.

Here's Wigginton and Blanton praising Freddy's glove work.

And here's Charlie Manuel praising Freddy's attitude.

"Freddy's pretty cool. He keeps an even keel. He goes about his business and he loves to play. You can't tell if he's overexcited or whatever. That's kind of who he is. I like everything about him. I want him to stay attitude-wise exactly like he is. Don't get caught up in nothing, just stay who you are. He's gonna be a good player."
