Phillies Make First Big Offseason Acquisition

Share

The Phillies organization has made its first signing of the offseason by bringing utility-man Pete Orr back into fold with a minor-league contract to play for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. It's a decent move for Orr, who knows that the Phils' familiarity with him could land him some spot stints with the big club if they're hit with a rash of injuries in 2012. He'll be in Clearwater next spring.

What's that? Not the big booming move you were hoping for? Relax. It's early.
