Roy Halladay's Son Texted Him After Last Night's Ugly Loss and It Will Make Your Heart Warm and Sad

Roy Halladay got rocked yet again last night in the Phillies loss to the New York Mets in front of the smallest crowd Citizens Bank Park has seen in years. After the game, Halladay had a text waiting for him from his 12-year-old son.

From Jim Salisbury's story about Halladay opening up a bit to reporters following the game:

But after failing to get an out in the fifth inning and seeing his ERA
rise to an unsightly 14.73, Halladay briefly took reporters to a hidden
place. He revealed that he received a text from his oldest son,
12-year-old Braden, moments after the game ended.

“I got a text from my son saying I am his hero,” Halladay said. “It meant a lot.”

Halladay goes on to say that he believes his issues are 95% mental, which I think should be somewhat encouraging to Phillies fans. If there's a player in baseball who can fix an issue in his head, you'd think it could be Roy Halladay.

Do you think Halladay will turn things around and turn back into an effective pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies this season? I think it's safe to say he has a whole lot of people pulling for him.
