Ryan Howard and Crazy Hot Dog Vendor on an Ostrich Double Bobblehead Giveaway at Reading Phillies

As if a Ryan Howard garden gnome weren't bizarre enough, now you can add a double-bobblehead featuring Howard and the "Crazy Hot Dog Vendor" who just happens to be riding an ostrich to your collection of weird-yet-totally-amazing crap.

The beautiful double bobblehead will be the giveaway on April 5th, 2012 at the Reading Phillies opening night game.

You see, The Big Piece and the goofy hot dog vendor have a bit of history together.

From the Reading Phillies website:

On Thursday, April 5th, the first 2,500 adults 21 and over will receive the giveaway
honoring two of Baseballtown’s most cherished personalities courtesy of All Star
Distributing/Coors Light. The duo both made their first appearance at FirstEnergy Stadium
in 2004, with the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor famously surprising Howard at the 2006 Baseballtown
Winter Banquet.

Perhaps the best takeaway from all of this is that there is still hope in life to someday own a Pistachio Girl bobblehead.

Philadelphia sports fans have a storied history of throwing things.

They threw snowballs at Santa Claus back in 1968 and bracelets onto the ice at the Wells Fargo Center during a Flyers home playoff game last April.

On Sunday, one fan took that long-standing reputation to new heights.

At a tailgate outside the Linc leading up to the Eagles-Steelers game, a dancing Birds fan wearing a Donald Trump mask had an Amoroso roll thrown at his face.
