Someone paid $9,100 for some Phillie Phanatic bobbleheads

The Phillie Phanatic is big.

Just how big? A set of Phillie Phanatic bobbleheads raised more money for the Phillies Charities than any other item up for the Phantastic Auction. To put that another way, people paid more money for a set of plastic toys resembling the big green guy than was paid for any of these:

  • a round of golf (for 3 people) with Mike Schmidt
  • autographs of the 2008 World Champion Phillies
  • A PRIVATE HITTING CLINIC WITH CHASE UTLEY.

Wild.

I still maintain that if I ever become super wealthy and am afforded the ability to bid on charity auctions such as this, I'd absolutely go in for the chance to dance on the dugout with the Phillie Phanatic. You can't put a price on that.
