The John Bowker Era is Over

The John Bowker era in Philadelphia is over. The Phillies have released the forgotten Phillie to allow him to pursue career options in Japan. Bowker appeared in 12 games for the Phillies in 2011, getting 13 plate appearances and getting on base exactly zero times with seven strikeouts taboot.

As you can see from the above photo, he also seems to have played right field at some point in the season. Not successfully, it appears. Who knew.
