I guess Citizens Bank Park is one of those places where opposing fans can easily come in and take over now. Thanks, Ruben.

Or maybe it'll only happen on rare nights where the best player in baseball who just so happens to be from a town 45 minutes south of Philadelphia is playing the Phillies and the ticketing gurus in the organization decide to officially call it "Millville Night" at the ball yard.

It seemed like the entire city was in attendance. Heck, even they Mayor of Millville threw out the first pitch.

This is my favorite quote about the evening, from

"It's probably the biggest event this city has ever had," lifelong Millville resident and current deputy mayor Jim Quinn said. "Back in the '50s, Millville's [high school] football team had a 31-game winning streak that was a big thing, but I can't think of anything close to what is happening with Mike Trout at Citizens Bank Park."

Poor Millville. Whatever happened on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park was probably the "biggest event" their city has ever had.

And yes, I'm probably a bit grumpy because the Phillies lost, the only thing that happened on Tuesday night in South Philly that I really cared about.

I suppose it's nice that the people of Millville got to see their local hero's team win on the town's own night? But most of them are probably Phillies fans anyway, right? Who knows.

Their guy didn't do a whole lot to help the Angels defeat the Phillies which is a minor victory for us local curmudgeons. Millville has Cody Asche to thank for that.
