OAKLAND – The NBA's best met the NBA's worst Tuesday night at Oracle Arena, and the final scoreboard reflected as much.

The Sixers were handed a 126-86 beating by the Golden State Warriors. The loss was the Sixers’ third in a row on to drop their record to 4-26.

The Warriors improved to 25-5 with the easy win.

Turning point
The Sixers did themselves in with turnovers.

They gave the ball away 11 times in the first quarter, which led to 18 points for the Warriors. That was the main factor behind the Sixers trailing by 15 points after one period. It was the third time in their 26 defeats that they have trailed by 15 points or more after 12 minutes of action.

For the game, the Sixers finished with 28 turnovers that directly contributed to 43 points for the Warriors.

Follow the leader
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry are the leaders of the Warriors' potent offense. But on a night like this one, the Splash Brothers got plenty of help.

Thompson scored 14 points and Curry added 13 points as they were just two of the seven Warriors to score in double figures.

Former Sixer Marreese Speights scored a game-high 23 points.

Leandro Barbosa (17 points), David Lee (13 points), Justin Holiday (11 points) and Draymond Green (10 points) also reached double digits.

Henry Sims led the Sixers in scoring with 19 points. Robert Covington, Malcolm Thomas and Tony Wroten each added 10 points.

Stat-egic
The Warriors are known for their three-point shooting prowess. They had seven different players make at least one long ball to help the team finish 12 for 28 from three-point range overall.

The Sixers were 6 for 20 from behind the arc.

Take a bow
Speights lit up his former team on his home court for a second straight year. Speights, making his third start of the season, was 9 of 13 from the floor for his 23 points. He also had four blocks, four rebounds and four assists.

Last season when the Sixers visited Oracle Arena, Speights scored a career-high 32 points on 12 of 15 shooting.

What's next?
The Sixers play Phoenix on Friday at U.S. Airways Center. The Suns are 18-15 after losing to the Pelicans Tuesday, 110-106.

The Suns beat the Sixers on Nov. 21 at the Wells Fargo Center, 122-96. In that game, the Sixers committed 18 turnovers that led to 29 Phoenix points.

The Sixers let the game get away from them in the second quarter when they were outscored 41-17. Phoenix shot 15-for-20 in that quarter and led by 23 points at halftime.
