At age 22, before his second NBA season, Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is already giving back to the community.
The 2013-14 NBA Rookie of the Year is holding a two-day basketball camp for kids grades 1-12 from Aug. 16-17 at Competitive Edge Sports in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Carter-Williams was a frequent camper as a kid. Now, he's happy to give youngsters the same opportunity.
"Having them all coach me, and now me coaching these kids out here, it's what I love to do," Carter-Williams said to Comcast SportsNet's Marshall Harris on Saturday. "I really love playing basketball, but I also really love teaching kids, giving them a chance to see someone like me. All the smiles in here is great -- it's a great atmosphere."
