The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers to send three-time All-Star Kevin Love to the Cavs for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round pick, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

The trade is contingent upon an agreement that Love will opt out of his contract after the 2014-15 season and re-sign with the Cavaliers for five years, $120 million, sources told Yahoo Sports.

The deal is agreed to in principle but cannot be completed until Aug. 23 because Wiggins cannot be dealt until at least a month after the signing of his rookie contract.

The Cavs took Wiggins and Bennett as the No. 1 pick, respectively, in this year's and last year's drafts. Bennett, a 6-foot-8 forward, averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds as a rookie last season.

Love posted career highs with 26.1 points and 4.4 assists per game last year and also averaged 12.5 rebounds. He never played in the postseason in six seasons in Minnesota. But with Love joining LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Cleveland, the Cavs become instant preseason favorites in the Eastern Conference.
