Report: D'Angelo Russell says Sixers workout was ‘great'

Former Ohio State guard D'Angelo Russell worked out for the Sixers on Wednesday and said it went "great," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey.

After cancelling his original workout this past weekend due to illness, the Big Ten freshman of the year worked out for the Sixers at the team's practice facility.

Russell should be in play for the Sixers at No. 3 in next week's NBA draft. If the Sixers go guard with the third pick, the decision would likely come down to Russell and Emmanuel Mudiay. Mudiay reportedly worked out for the Sixers on Tuesday and later dined at Barclay Prime with GM Sam Hinkie (see story)

Russell averaged 19.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in his lone season for the Buckeyes.
