Sixers to open preseason in Boston on Oct. 6

The Sixers on Monday unveiled an eight-game preseason schedule, beginning on Oct. 6 in Boston against the Celtics at 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 8 will mark the Sixers’ preseason home opener. They will host the Charlotte Hornets and their new addition, Lance Stephenson, at the Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.

Also included on the schedule are two neutral site games. The first is against the Knicks on Oct. 14 at Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome. The second, less than a week later on Oct. 18, sees the Sixers take on the Orlando Magic at the new PPL Center in Allentown, Pa.

The Sixers open the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 29 on the road against the Pacers.
