LAS VEGAS -- Scottie Wilbekin scored 11 points, but it wasn't enough to help the Sixers in a 75-68 loss to Brooklyn in the Las Vegas Summer League on Wednesday afternoon.

Jahlil Okafor did not play due to attending the ESPY’s Awards in Los Angeles.

Wilbekin, who is averaging 16.3 points per game in four Las Vegas games, was 5 of 15 from the field and 1 of 6 from three-point range.

Also for the Sixers, their No. 58th pick in June’s draft, J.P. Tokoto, had nine points. Las Vegas native Pierre Jackson and Charles Jackson each had nine points as well.

In a tournament format, the No. 23 seeded Sixers are 0-4 in Las Vegas in the 24-team summer league. They are 1-7 in total summer league action.

Markel Brown, drafted No. 44 in the 2014 NBA draft by Minnesota, led the Nets (3-1) with 23 points.

The Sixers were 2 of 15 from three-point range for 13 percent, while the Nets were 9 of 14 for 64 percent.

Comeback comes up short
After trailing by 18, the Sixers rallied in the first quarter to cut Brooklyn’s lead to two points in the third quarter. However, the Sixers never got closer than 55-53 with 1:12 left in the third. The Sixers never got that lead below three in the fourth quarter.

Zack back in starting lineup
After not playing in Tuesday’s loss to New York, Steve Zack of La Salle was back in the starting lineup. Zack made his first shot, the first two points of the game, before missing his next six shots. He finished with eight points.

Bad start
After Zack scored the first two points of the game for the Sixers, the Nets went on a 14-0 run. The Sixers cut it to 16-7, but Brooklyn scored the last seven points of the first quarter.

Wilbekin doing it again
Wilbekin scored nine second-quarter points, going 4 of 5 from the field, including one three-pointer. Brooklyn built its largest lead, 26-8, early in the session before the Sixers slightly cut the lead at halftime to 43-28.

Up next
The Sixers will play Houston on Friday at 4 p.m. in the consolation round at the Cox Pavilion. That will wrap up the Sixers' time in Las Vegas.
