LAS VEGAS — The Sixers rested Jahlil Okafor Sunday night for their Las Vegas Summer League game against the Boston Celtics, an 85-76 loss (see game story).

The Sixers started guards Pierre Jackson and Scottie Wilbekin, small forward JaKarr Sampson and big men Arsalan Kazemi and Steve Zack.

Okafor, the No. 3 overall pick in June's NBA draft out of Duke, sat near the bench in the front row wearing street clothes.

Okafor played all three games in the Utah Jazz Summer League, which was held in Salt Lake City earlier this week.

In his Vegas debut Saturday night, Okafor scored 19 points on 6 of 14 shooting and collected 11 rebounds in the Sixers' 68-60 loss to D'Angelo Russell and the Los Angeles Lakers. He also had three assists, a pair of blocks and five turnovers.

"I like it here in Vegas," Okafor said. "Playing at this altitude is better. Playing in the altitude [in Utah] got me in better shape."

In four summer league games, Okafor is averaging 15.3 points and nine rebounds per game.

The Sixers also sat J.P. Tokoto, Jordan McRae and T.J. McConnell. Nik Stauskas was in attendance, but did not play as he's dealing with a minor ankle injury.

Sunday was the Sixers' second straight summer league game in Las Vegas. They have the day off Monday and play New York on Tuesday.
