The Sixers will be without Jason Richardson when they take on the New York Knicks Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center (see story).

Meanwhile, as the Sixers get back on the court they are still holding out hope that Kwame Brown can produce this season (see story).

Now, let's look at some news and notes from around the Atlantic Division.

Celtics interested in Redick?
Despite Boston's insistence earlier this season that the team would not tweak its roster, it appears the Celtics are up to adding another weapon afterall.

According to a report from ESPN's Marc Stein (via ProBasketballTalk), the Celtics have ramped up their interest in Orlando Magic sharpshooter J.J. Redick.

Redick could certainly help a Celtics team that has lost six in a row and ranks 23rd in points per game. However, the Magic would likely want young talent in return and the C's don't have too much of that to spare.

Raptors getting healthy
Andreas Bargnani and Jonas Valanciunas are getting closer to returning for the Toronto Raptors, reports the Toronto Sun (via ProBasketballTalk).

Bargnani has been nursing an elbow, while Valanciunas is recovering from a hand injury.

"Andrea Bargnani continues to take shots before games, but is still in pain and still likely needs another week or two," Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun said. "Expect Jonas Valanciunas back first. Saturday is not out of the question, but early next week seems more likely."
