BOX SCORE

CHICAGO -- The Sixers were hoping to snap a six-game losing skid when they played Chicago at the United Center on Thursday.

The Bulls were struggling, evidenced by their 3-7 record in their last 10 games.

However, thanks to a monster effort from Joakim Noah, the Bulls had more than enough in the tank to claim a 93-82 win over the Sixers. The loss was the Sixers’ ninth straight on the road and dropped their overall record to 22-34.

Turning point
The Sixers trimmed what was a double-digit deficit to just four in the second half.

Nate Robinson scored all nine of his points in the fourth quarter, including two three-pointers and a running jump shot. His three-pointer with 6:17 to play stretched Chicago’s lead to nine.

Follow the leader
Noah had a triple-double with 23 points, 21 rebounds and an incredible 11 blocks. It was Noah’s third career triple-double and the 11 blocks tied a Bulls’ franchise record for a regulation game.

Carlos Boozer had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Luol Deng added another 12 points.

Jrue Holiday was 10 of 19 from the floor for 22 points. Spencer Hawes pulled had 20 points to go with 15 rebounds and looked much better than Tuesday’s one-board performance.

Evan Turner had 10 points in the first quarter but was 1 for 9 the rest of the way and finished with 12 points.

Stat-egic
Nick Young has scored in single digits four of his last five games. He had 19 points against the Heat last Saturday, but in the other four games he is a combined 3 of 23 from the floor.

Young was 1 for 6 against the Bulls and finished with five points.

Take a bow
The Sixers trailed by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, as they missed 13 of their first 15 field goal attempts after halftime.

However, they hung with it and were able tocut the deficit to six by the end of the quarter.

The Sixers shot 11 free throws in the third quarter and were 2 for 2 from long distance.

What’s next?
The Sixers return home to face Golden State on Saturday night. The Warriors will be on the tail end of a back-to-back with a game in Boston on Friday.

Stephen Curry put on a show at Madison Squarer Garden on Wednesday when he made 18 of 28 field goal attempts, including 11 for 13 from behind the arc, for a season-high 54 points. Unfortunately for Curry, the huge effort came in a 109-105 loss.

Mark Jackson has guided the Warriors to a 33-25 record. They have lost two straight and are 15-18 on the road.
