BOX SCORE

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Sixers wrapped up their four-game trip out West with a stop at Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City to face the Jazz.

The Sixers were playing another game in a miserable regular season and the Jazz were looking to snap a four-game skid to stay in the hunt for the Western Conference’s final playoff spot.

Mission accomplished.

The Sixers were dominated from start to finish in a 107-91 loss to the Jazz to finish out their road trip with a 1-3 mark.

The Sixers allowed Utah to shoot 48.8 percent, while they connected on only 38.6 percent of their own attempts.

Also, the Sixers had a season-low nine assists after averaging 28 over their last 10 games.

Turning point
The second quarter was abysmal for the Sixers.

They committed seven turnovers that led to 14 Utah points and shot 7 for 20 from the floor while being outscored 31-19 in the period.

That proved to be the difference against a Jazz team that is 24-9 at home this season and has the second-most wins on a home court since 1991.

Follow the leader
Former Villanova star Randy Foye has found a nice niche with the Jazz this season.

His trio of three-pointers against the Sixers gave him a franchise-best 146 for the season. That’s also good enough for the 12th most in the NBA this season.

Foye finished the game with 15 points.

Gordon Hayward added 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting, including a perfect 3 of 3 from long distance.

Center Al Jefferson and power forward Paul Milsap combined for 23 points and 13 rebounds. Both big men are unrestricted free agents this summer, so their names could be in the mix when the Sixers decide how they are moving forward.

The Jazz have a nice, young big man in Derrick Favors, who finished the game with 13 points and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes.

Dorell Wright led the Sixers with 19 points but he shot just 2 for 7 from behind the arc. Spencer Hawes had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Stat-egic
The Jazz were plus-10 in points off turnovers at halftime and had six made threes to the Sixers’ one.

Take a bow
Arnett Moultrie continues to show progress, especially at the offensive end where he often is above the rim and active on the offensive glass.

Moultrie was 6 of 9 from the floor for 14 points. He also grabbed eight rebounds.

What’s next?
The Sixers have 12 games remaining over the next 23 days. They return for a Wednesday home game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Sixers have beaten the NBA-worst Bobcats twice this season. The Bobcats started out with a 7-6 record this season but have sputtered ever since to a 16-54 overall mark.

Kemba Walker leads Charlotte in scoring with 17.3 points per game. Former Episcopal Academy standout Gerald Henderson averages 14.5 points a night.
