BOX SCORE

The Orlando Magic came to the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night saddled with a franchise-worst 16-game losing streak on the road.

Not to be outdone, the Sixers had dropped 11 in a row overall and 10 straight at home.

The Sixers ended up the ones extending their skid with a 101-90 loss.

The Sixers led by as a many as eight points, their largest lead in a game since Feb. 7 when they led by nine against the Lakers.

Brett Brown started a new lineup that included Michael Carter-Williams, James Anderson, Hollis Thompson, Thaddeus Young and Henry Sims.

While several of those players had individual success, it did not equal the Sixers earning their first win since Jan. 29.

Turning point
The score was tied at 67 heading into the fourth quarter. That turned into a 10-point Magic lead with eight minutes to go in the game.

Orlando connected on 12 of 18 field goals in the fourth quarter and out-scored the Sixers, 34-23.

Follow the leader
Former Sixer Nikola Vucevic recorded a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. It was his 26th double-double this season.

Rookie Victor Oladipo scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He got the better of his rival Michael Carter-Williams, who scored eight points on just 3 of 13 shooting. Carter-Williams did add six rebounds, four assists and three steals to go along with three turnovers.

Thaddeus Young led the Sixers in scoring with 19 points. Tony Wroten added 15 points, while Henry Sims scored a career-high 10 points and pulled down six rebounds.

Stat-egic
The Sixers had given up a combined 254 points in their previous two games. Against Orlando they allowed 40 first-half points, a season low for points in the first half.

The Sixers then turned around and gave up 61 points in the second half.

Take a bow
Jameer Nelson, now in his 10th season with the Magic, scored 16 points and handed out 12 assists. He also pulled down six rebounds and had no turnovers in the game.

What’s next?
The Sixers host the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.

The game also marks the jersey retirement of Allen Iverson’s No. 3. The ceremony will take place at halftime.

Iverson is the eighth player in franchise history to have his number retired, joining Hal Greer, Billy Cunningham, Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Bobby Jones and Charles Barkley. Former public address announcer Dave Zinkoff also has a banner hanging from the rafters.

The Wizards and Sixers are meeting for the fourth and final time this season. Washington currently holds a 2-1 series lead.
