Michael Carter-Williams, the favorite for Rookie of the Year (see story), will headline the roster pool in the NBA's Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, Feb. 14.
The event, which kicks off All-Star weekend in New Orleans, includes 18 rookies and sophomores.
For the third straight year, the NBA's assistant coaches will draft the two teams. Previously, the game pitted rookies against sophomores. The draft will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. on TNT.
After the two teams are selected, fans vote for the starters. The Thunder's Scott Brooks and the Pacers' Frank Vogel will coach the two squads.
MCW leads all rookies in points (17.4 per game), assists (6.7), rebounds (5.6) and steals (2.41). He was the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month in October and November.
Anthony Davis, who has made major strides in his second season, is the standout member of the sophomore class. The Pelicans' center is averaging 20.4 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.3 blocks.
The rest of the roster pool includes: rookies Victor Oladipo, Trey Burke, Kelly Olynyk, Mason Plumlee, Tim Hardaway, Jr., Steven Adams, Pero Antic and Giannis Antetokounmpo; and sophomores Damian Lillard, Harrison Barnes, Bradley Beal, Andre Drummond, Terrence Jones, Jared Sullinger, Jonas Valanciunas and Dion Waiters.
