Michael Carter-Williams will play against Nets

The Sixers, who are in the middle of a season-worst seven-game losing skid, will get some help Friday night.

Rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams returns to the lineup and will start after missing the last seven games with a knee infection.

Carter-Williams, 22, practiced the last two days and deemed himself "ready to go" on Thursday (see story).

In 15 NBA games, MCW is averaging 17.7 points, 7.3 assists, 5.8 rebounds and an NBA-leading 3.1 steals per game.

The Sixers have only one win when Carter-Williams doesn't play this season (1-10), whereas they're 6-9 when he's in the lineup.
