NBA Notes: Andre Miller has suspension revoked

DENVER -- The two-game suspension of Nuggets guard Andre Miller has been rescinded by the team, though he will remain away from the club until Monday under a newly issued personal leave.

Miller originally was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team by the Nuggets for verbally confronting coach Brian Shaw in the waning minutes of their 114-102 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night in full view of teammates and fans.

Miller reportedly was upset over what became the first "did not play-coach's decision" of his 15-year career.

In a brief statement announcing the suspension had been rescinded, Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly said that Miller would rejoin the team on Monday. He also said that until then, Miller would be excused from all team activities for personal reasons (see full story).

Cavs: Irving sits out again
CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers All-Star guard Kyrie Irving will miss his second straight game because of a bruised left knee.

The team said Friday that he will not travel to New York for Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Irving sat out Thursday's home win over Orlando.

Irving was hurt Tuesday while falling awkwardly on a layup against Indiana. He felt a "pop," but an MRI showed no structural damage. The Cavs say their leading scorer will continue to receive treatment. Cleveland hosts the Pacers on Sunday.

Irving has had numerous injuries during his two-plus seasons in the NBA. One of his goals was to play in all 82 games this season.

Jarrett Jack started for Irving against the Magic.
