The Sixers were handed another loss on Tuesday night, but rookie Arnett Moultrie showed some positive signs in the defeat.
Meanwhile, John Gonzalez wonders if the team has resigned to its fate.
Now, let's look at some other news and notes from around the NBA.
Nuggets targeting Korver
The Denver Nuggets may be right in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race right now, but that hasn't stopped them from looking toward the future.
"Korver, an unrestricted free agent in his 10th year in the NBA, is expected to be one of the Nuggets top targets in the offseason as the team actively courts players who can fill that shooting void," Dempsey said. "Denver won’t be the only team looking to gain his services, but if the money is right (Korver makes $5 million this season) the situation might be hard for the sharpshooter, who grew up in Pella, Iowa, to turn down."
Could Saunders be Timberwolves GM?
The Nuggets aren't the only team looking toward the 2013-14 campaign.
"Unless Saunders is offered a coaching job that would pay him a lot more money than he would get being the Wolves' president of basketball operations, I think it's a strong possibility that Saunders will replace Kahn before next season," Sid Hartman of the Star Tribune writes.
